quel tempo, Gesù disse ai suoi discepoli:
«Chiedete
e vi sarà dato; cercate e troverete, bussate e vi sarà aperto. Perché chiunque
chiede riceve, e chi cerca trova, e a chi bussa sarà aperto.
Chi
di voi, al figlio che gli chiede un pane, darà una pietra? E se gli chiede un
pesce, gli darà una serpe? Se voi, dunque, che siete cattivi, sapete dare cose
buone ai vostri figli, quanto più il Padre vostro che è nei cieli darà cose
buone a quelli che gliele chiedono!
Tutto
quanto volete che gli uomini facciano a voi, anche voi fatelo a loro: questa
infatti è la Legge e i Profeti».

137 Mt 7,7-12
«Chiedete
e vi sarà dato; cercate e troverete, bussate e vi sarà aperto». Questo versetto
mi ha riportato a un’interpretazione del versetto in chiave di arte di lettura
della Scrittura che san Giovanni della Croce fa, sulla scia di Guigo il
Certosino, e che suona così: «Cerca nella lettura e troverai nella meditazione;
bussa nella preghiera e ti verrà aperto nella contemplazione». Enzo Bianchi
aggiunge a questa interpretazione una parte iniziale in cui invita a chiedere
lo Spirito Santo affinché ci sia data la comprensione della Scrittura. L’incontro
con la Scrittura diventa un momento di immersione nella vita del Dio Trino. Un
momento in cui nello Spirito ascoltiamo la Parola e ci perdiamo, trovandoci,
nel cuore del Padre.

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the
door will be opened to you". This verse has reminded me of an interpretation given by saint John of the Cross regarding the art of reading the Scriptures (Lectio divina), in the footsteps of Guigo a Certosine monk: "Seek through reading and you'll find through meditation; knock through prayer and it shall be opened to you through contempation". Enzo Bianchi adds to this interpretation an initial part in which he invites to ask for the Holy Spirit so that we might be given the gift of understanding the Scriptures. The encounter with the Holy Scriptures becomes a moment of immersion in the life of the Triune God. A moment in which we listen in the Holy Spirit to the Word made flesh and we loose ourselves, thus finding ourselves in the heart of the Father.
